STAR*SMART: Stelliums in 2008! Mars continues Retrograde….
There are no major aspects
formed during Capricorn time this year, so I
am taking you on a journey of the 2008 Stelliums!
Stelliums in 2008!
Since we have 2 outer factors, Chiron (a comet), and
the planet Neptune, in Aquarius, we have several stelliums in Aquarius
from Jan 7 to Mar 14, as several planets join and leave them. A stellium,
strictly defined, is 3 or more factors in the same sign not including the Sun
and Mercury and just one other planet, since Mercury always travels
closely with the Sun anyway, never more than 28 degrees away. If it is the
Sun and Mercury, there must be two other planets as well.
Twice in 2008, we have Capricorn
stelliums. First, in Jan/Feb, then in Nov,
after Pluto reenters Capricorn, having retrograded back into Sagittarius.
This allows more Capricorn stelliums from Dec 12th on into 2009 including
the Dec 26 to 29 6 Planets stellium as the Moon, then Mars,
join the Sun,
Mercury, Jupiter, and Pluto!
Throughout the year, there
are 7 other 4 planets stelliums in Pisces,
Gemini, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Sagittarius and Aquarius. I will write those up
for you as they come along.
Here are the details
for Jan through March in Pacific Time:
4 Planets or more
Aquarius & Capricorn Stelliums – North Node AQ
Jan 7 to Mar 14, 2 months and one week: 3 to 5 planets continuously
in AQ anchored by Chiron and Neptune.
Feb 5 to 7, Feb 17/18, Mar 3 to 6: Three 5 planets AQ stelliums!
Jan 25 to Feb 17: 3 to 4 planets continuously in Capricorn
anchored by
Jupiter and Pluto.
Jan 25 to Feb 17: there are concurrently two stelliums,
one in Cap
(3 planets except for Feb 3 to 5 when there are 4), one in AQ!
Jan 9 to 11:
The first major Aquarius stellium, 4 planets – Moon,
Mercury, Chiron, Neptune.
Jan 20 to Feb 17: 4 planets AQ – Sun, Mercury (Direct
then Retrograde),
Chiron, Neptune.
Feb 3 to 5: Capricorn stellium – 4 planets – Moon,
Pluto, Jupiter, Venus.
Feb 5 to 7: 5
planets AQ with Moon – Chiron, Sun, Mercury Retrograde,
Neptune. Feb 6 is the Annular Solar Eclipse
at 17 AQ 44. Every year
from now through 2011 will have a stellium in Aquarius at the New Moon,
but this is the only one when all the planets will actually be in conjunction,
and that, within the very short arc of only 6 degrees! It will
be carrying the
energy potently these next four years! That’s certainly of interest since
the Super Primary is the day before.
[Feb 5 Mardi Gras, Super Primary, Feb 6 Ash Wednesday, Feb 7
Chinese New Year of the Rat!]
Feb 7 to 17:
4 planets AQ – Sun, Mercury retrograde, Chiron, Neptune.
Feb 17/18: 5 planets AQ without Moon – The 17th Venus
enters at
0 degrees, Mercury Retrograde, Chiron, Neptune, Sun at 29 degrees,
leaving Aquarius the 18th.
Feb 18 to Mar 3: 4 planets AQ – Sun, Mercury, Chiron,
Neptune.
Mar 3 to 6: 5 planets AQ with Moon –
Mercury, Chiron, Venus, Neptune.
Mar 6 to 12: The same 4 planets without the Moon until Venus
leaves.

For now, Mars continues in Retrograde until Jan 30, 2008. It
returns
into Gemini Dec 31. Please click

tracking Mars in our skies, Joe Rao, Space.com
columnist, says Mars will be closer to Earth this month than any time until
the year 2016. It came closest to Earth on the night of Dec 18. It will be
exactly opposition the Sun, with Earth in the middle –on Christmas Eve,
Dec. 24. Sun and Mars are both considered to be fiery planets, in this
case, lighting our Winter spirits, perhaps inviting us to contemplate our
actions, giving a sense of a light at the end of the tunnel! The Sun in
Capricorn points toward light efficiency, conservation, while Mars in Cancer
can indicate innovations at home – how about those new low energy cost

The Feb 5 Super-Primary
is of special interest to astrologers since that
is one of the days of one of the three 5 planet Aquarius stelliums, this one
featuring the concentrated 6 degree conjunction including the Solar Eclipse
on Feb 6! That’s a lot of power in one place, that could knock you down,
shake you up, or propel you past the limits! Mercury is Retrograde,
meaning that what is thought to be isn’t entirely likely, ie recounts,
close
races not settled, lost papers, last minute changes in standpoints,
alliances. Lots to think about, and a whole lotta mind changin’ goin’
on!

opposing Clinton’s powerful lineup of Leo planets and squaring her Scorpio
stellium. A candidate needs strength to move ahead and all these fixed
planets in challenging aspect will certainly give her a big boost. I'll try

planets hitting anyone's horoscope like they are going to hit hers could be
very difficult to handle--although it can produce great success.

Stelliums, you might guess,
indicate potency, focus, emphasis. The
more planets, the more gets done in that department. Could mean more

formed. There are several lesser stelliums formed, as usual, when the
Moon joins 3 other planets, usually the Sun/Mercury and/or Venus and
